
Hailing from Southern Oregon, The Fret Drifters are acoustic guitar wizards known for their joyous high energy shows and their virtuosic "anything goes" approach to playing. Featuring renowned finger-style guitarist Andy Casad; the multifaceted Nick Garrett-Powell on lead guitar, vocals, and mandolin. Audiences should expect to see and hear uniquely beautiful acoustic arrangements of original and cover music incorporating futuristic finger-styles, jaw-dropping lead solos, post-flamenco strumming, dazzling sweet mandolin and bluesy tenor vocals that will shake the room, exotic and exciting 8-finger tapping and guitar body drumming and an encore-inspiring stage presence, sure to captivate audiences. The Fret Drifters visually rich and diverse onstage show and genre defying repertoire dazzle crowds of all ages the world over. Casad, a celebrated finger-style guitarist, won the Rogue Valley's Star of Stars in 2008 and The Breedlove guitar competition in 2009. Garrett-Powell studied classical guitar and piano at Southern Oregon University and earned a degree in recording engineering from Musicians Institute in Hollywood. The Fret Drifters were voted "Most Innovative Band" in 2011 from Radio Station 96.9 The Rogue. Their latest accomplishments were winning Judges Choice in Southern Oregon's Got Talent in October 2013 and won The International Musicians Exchange which sent them to tour Australia in February 2014. Back home in the US the Fret Driters continued touring in the Northwest releasing their self-titled debut EP in the summer of 2016.
